A system is a whole consisting of its parts. We describe our project as a system. We discuss two types of systems. The first one is a system of algebraic structures and statistical hypotheses we put forward to state a problem and select an optimal model. The second one is a system of black boxes we believe to form an exploitable model.
The seminar
- The warm-up 5-minute test
- The model selection problem statement
- The Bayesian inference
- Examples of problem statement
- IDEF0 and examples
- Homework discussion

Homework
The homework is to prepare yourself for a warm-up test. During the test, you read an informal problem statement. And return a formal problem statement and an IDEF0 scheme, handwritten. So for the next seminar, you have to prepare
- a sheet of paper and a pen,
- a phone with a camera to upload your drawing.
